MINI VLOG: The Body Shop Spa of The World/ Oils of Life Blogger Event

Back in September, the beautiful ladies of The BodyShop Stratford were kind enough to invite me to a little get together at their store to get a little pampered and see some of the (then) new ranges.

As you can see in the video, the main focus of the night was the Spa of The World and Oils of Life collections. A bit off topic, but with Christmas just around the corner, these scrubs, oils and creams would make excellent gifts for someone who deserves a bit of "me-time".

The 'Spa of The World' Display

We kicked off the night testing and trying out the different scrubs and moisturisers from the Spa of the World range. In the video, you would've seen my good friend, Sangi, trying out the Dead Sea Salt Scrub and finishing off with the Hawaiian Kukui Cream; best used for people with dry skin. For my oily skin, I used the gel based African Ximenia Scrub and afterwards moisturised with the Japanese Camellia Cream.

Although I didn't get a photo of my hands, you could see a visible difference in Sangi's. The hand on the left (after scrub) is positively glowing! Both our hands were so much softer afterwards and our skin felt totally rejuvenated.

The 'Oils of Life' Display

Sangi sat in as the model for the Oils of Life demo and had a little makeover too!
The product that stood out the most to me was the Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil. It can be used on all skin types and contains Egyptian Black Cumin Seed Oil, Chinese Camellia Oil and Chilean Rosehip Seed Oil, all of which were formed by cold pressing the seeds. This means the facial oil gives the maximum benefit of natural goodness from each ingredient.

Twin Ball Facial Massager Demo

The accessory product to this range, the Twin Ball Facial Massager, was really interesting too.
Used in conjunction with the oil, it aids the oil's uptake into the skin and also helps to move collagen around.

This event was held before the release of The BodyShop's Fresh Nude Foundation (which is, as far as I'm aware, their first foundation to come in shades suitable for women of colour) so on Sangi, the makeup artist used the All in One BB Cream and warmed up the colour using their Honey Bronzer. To highlight, she used the Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome in 'Golden' and for lips, the Lip and Cheek Universal Velvet Stick. This product in particular looks black in the tube but when applied, changes colour into a shade that is unique to you! It also has a matte finish.

Thanks again to The BodyShop Stratford (E15 1XA), I really had a fabulous time and it was great meeting other bloggers and talking "shop"!

If you're ever in London, give them a visit and tell them you heard about their event here!

Take care everyone and have a blessed week,

Fofo xx
